TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PRIVATE TOURS
Payments
All tours require full payment on booking. Tours can be cancelled without penalty for up to 10 days prior to the tour.
If you have booked a tour and wish to cancel within 10 days, Coutours Ltd. (from now on referred to as Coutours) will charge 50% of the fee and 100% of the fee if cancelled within 7 days of the tour taking place.
Tickets and Bookings
If the tour includes tickets for attractions or other expenses including car or taxi service, we will let you know third-party terms and conditions, and wherever possible, we will offer a refund on these. Once tickets are booked, they cannot be returned and will be charged as if the tour is going ahead.
Modes of Transport
Tours take place on foot unless otherwise agreed. Any extra costs including coaches, taxis, etc. are to be agreed upon and paid in advance. We sometimes need to take transportation to arrive at the start location. If you choose to take taxis, these are to be paid by you, the client.
Food and Beverages
Coutours supplies food and drinks on a variety of tours. Please inform Emma at Coutours if you or one or some of your guests has any allergies. Tour guides will check on the day of the tour if clients have any food intolerances and will avoid anything that may not be deemed suitable.
Coutours is not liable for any illnesses, allergies, or other issues arising from food. If a client is in any doubt over the food/drink, they are advised not to consume it. Coutours can arrange food and beverage stops on tours, if required. Clients will cover the cost of all food and will be subject to individual restaurants’ terms and conditions.
Tour Information
Tours are run in all types of weather, apart from snow and ice, so clients are requested to dress appropriately, especially if it is raining or cold. Tour routes can be quite uneven, so sensible footwear is recommended, and for clients to take great care while on the tour, and when crossing roads, etc. Also, it is advisable to bring water, especially if it is hot.
Timings
The length of a tour stated on the booking will include the collection and travel time to the start of the tour. Unless pre-arranged, Coutours’s guides will not return customers to their hotel or residence at the end of the tour, but will ensure that they know how they can get back or to their next rendez-vous.
Lateness
Coutours’s guides will wait for a client for up to 30 minutes after their booking time. The tour will then be adapted accordingly to take any lost time into account. If the client is more than 30 minutes late, we will presume that the client is no longer able to take the tour and the guide will no longer be available unless we are contacted by the client in advance or within 30 minutes of the start time of the tour.
While Coutours and their tour guides make every effort to provide a punctual service, all start and finish times are approximate to allow for any delays caused by traffic and road problems, adverse weather conditions, and any other problems outside of the control of Coutours. Coutours is not liable for any inconvenience or expenses incurred as a result of such a delay. Should there be delay, time will be made up at the end of the tour or in extreme cases, at another time convenient to both parties.
Liabilities
Coutours is not liable or responsible for any injury, loss or damage to persons or property arising from or caused by the weather, acts of God, war, accident, government restrictions or regulations, from an act of omission of any individual, traffic, road conditions, mechanical problems, or any other cause or condition beyond its control.
Coutours can also change any tour or route without notice and assumes no liability or responsibility for any conditions beyond its control.
Coutours reserves the right to refuse tours to any person that the tour guide deems unfit to undertake a tour, including those displaying disorderly conduct or drunkenness. All persons under the age of 16 need to be accompanied by an adult unless arranged in advance.
Tour Amendments for Those with Disabilities
Tours are suitable for most wheelchair users and walkers of varying ability. Please notify Coutours if you have any mobility issues, and the tour will be modified as required. Tours can be revised to suit those with hearing or vision impairment.
